Hi everyone.
As mostly of you know I am a Web Developer. Some days before I am not much interested in hosting business, have resellers plans for my design customers or some of my personal sites.

But I am getting good response in hosting business and now interested to buy a dedicated server. But I not have good knowlege for manage and maintain a Linux dedicated server. I am also not have time to take classes for this.
Can any one guide me how I can learn this from net. What you recommend for this. From starting i will rent a server only for experimental purpose.

For a hands on experience I recommend you use a dedicated providor which offers fully managed support at no extra cost, if you mess up then you contact them to fix the problem, you will slowly learn when you need to excecute certain queries, and use SSH, all the commands will eventually burn their way into your brain.

Good luck with it.

There is not place on the internet to learn how to manage a dedicated server. This is a skilled trade. Even if you learn the basics you need the understand all the grass roots because problems will pop up that you simply won't know how to fix without understanding how everything works.

Take the classes, get your own linux machine to learn on, buy a lot of "in a nutshell books", but you can't do it just from the net. I would also venture to say it can't be done without a LOT of hands-on.
